DNA Chip Research Inc. was founded in 1999 with the motto “Creativity and innovation”　to conduct business in the development of functional genomics-based technologies, biology and for contract services to Japanese scientists. The President, Kenichi Matsubara, is the founder and organizer of the Japanese Human Genome Project. He is the originator of the BodyMap, in which thousands of messenger RNA that are assembled in various tissues and cells are measured individually. The BodyMap endeavour has been the origin of functional genomics, and the technology used therein was developed as SAGE.

The DNA Chip Research Inc. has been a top runner in this field by cultivating the highest level of skills with breakthrough and globalization in mind. We are proud that we engage in research in both material and information through our own skills without depending outside sources.

Now, after nine years of business experience, the company decided that it should become more involved and be a reliable top level research station. We are planning to play a major role in the forthcoming society with personalized medicine and medicares based on human genomics.

For expanding our services, we have contracted with Agilent Technologies Inc. and we have become the first certified service provider in Japan. In addition, we have integrated scientists from Hubit Genomics Inc. for strengthening our activities in DNA research. We put half of our research development activities in this business enterprise.

The other half of our research development programs are on developing a technology through RNA analysis in blood. We call this new technology as “RNA CheckTM” so it is not be confused with “DNA Diagnosis”. With the “RNA CheckTM”, we can monitor physical conditions of the individuals periodically. We believe that “RNA CheckTM” will attain an important position in the 21st century in personalized medicine and advancing personalized medical care for human health.
